Science of Mortal Kombat

This is the project I was working on in December when I found out my father passed away. Big thanks to my coordinator America Young for holding me close during this time and giving me something to DO during my unexpected grief. She gave me focus and purpose when I could’ve devolved into a puddle, and for that I am exceedingly grateful. We shot the Temple scenes at the Korean Friendship Bell in Longbeach, and I can think of no better venue to entwine our lives together in creative achievement. <3

Sub-Zero, Scorpion, and Skarlet are some of the deadliest warriors in video game history, but how would they stand up in a fight to the death with the laws of physics? Kyle Hill and his experts, including Daniel Cormier and CM Punk, will test fatalities, brutalities, and realities seen in Mortal Kombat 11.

In anticipation of the release of Mortal Kombat 11, Nerdist and Because Science joined forces to create this hybrid show show od DEATH!!! Kyle Hill busts the myths about how physics in the Mortal Kombat realm would translate into to the real world.

He may call me his minion, but this show is nothing without our violent comical sacrifices.
